FIX SOMETHING DAY! How about instead of buying more stuff you don't need, fix something that you haven't had the heart to throw out yet because you know it still has life left in it. This Goretex jacket may look somewhat worn, but it's really good jacket that I bought 4 yrs ago when I was at wilderness guiding school and the only thing broken was the zip. On my way up to my Sarek trek this autumn, I found a lady who specialised in Goretex repair. She fixed up this jacket in an hour for 40euros. A new replacement would have cost at least 250 euros. When I'm on a wilderness trek for 10 days, I just want my jacket to keep my dry and protected. The wilderness doesn't care about the soot stains and mismatched zip (which I love).
